Sarah Wheeler, Operations Manager

My name is Sarah Wheeler. When I was young, I swam for a central Texas team until High School , when I became a lifeguard and started teaching swimming at my neighborhood pool. I taught throughout college and have enjoyed learning with children in the water through my adult years as well. While teaching at a local swim school, I also worked in therapy settings with children on the Autism spectrum and have worked in a private residential facility for children with traumatic brain injuries. I love to see both these worlds collide as children with spectrum needs meet the water, but my love for swimming spans for children of all developmental capabilities. Swimming can open up another layer of the world for children and it is as close to magic as I can imagine to see them learn and develop these skills!
