These camps are for kids grade 1st through 6th.
Each child’s swim level must be evaluated prior to camp to determine activity group.

Waterloo’s Summer Camp mission is to help ensure water safety and awareness and cultivate a love for all physical activities in and around water.

Swim Safety Camp

Waterloo’s Swim Safety camp is designed to help swimmers build safe water skills as well as become more aware of safe behaviors in and around the water. Activities include stories, games, and crafts that focus on everything from safe open water swimming to how to keep our water safe from pollution. Campers will be taught survival techniques and accident prevention in and around the water. Each camp day, campers will receive a 30-minute structured swim lesson with other swimmers at their same level in groups of no more than 4 swimmers to instructor.

Sharks & Mermaid Camp

Waterloo’s Sharks and Mermaids Camp is designed to engage the imaginations of campers as they grow stronger in the water and explore different movements and styles of swimming. Activities include stories, games, and crafts that focus on the mystery and magic of oceans and how we as humans can enjoy and protect vulnerable species and bodies of water. Each camp day, campers will receive a 30-minute structured swim lesson with other swimmers at their same level in groups of no more than 4 swimmers to instructor.

Water Polo Camp

Waterloo’s Waterpolo Camp is designed to engage competent swimmers interested in learning more about Water Polo. This camp is geared toward inexperienced, beginner Water Polo players between the ages of 9-14y. Activities include lessons on the rules of the game, exercises in team building and communication, and water conditioning and scrimmages. Each camp day, campers will receive roughly 75 minutes of in-water training and instruction in the sport of Water Polo. To be eligible, swimmers must be evaluated at an Intermediate swim level or above.

Swim Fitness Camp

The Fitness camp is geared toward swimmers ages 9-14ys and at or above a Novice 2 swim level. This camp will be offered at the NW location at 9-12p and will include a 45-minute swim fitness workout.

Waterloo Summer Camp Frequently Asked Questions

When should I drop off and pick up my child?
Camp begins at the designated start time each day. There is no early/late drop-off/pick-up. Camp hours are a 9a-12p. Any parent dropping off a swimmer before the start of camp or picking up after camp ends may be subject to dismissal from the camp without a refund.
Will snacks be provided during the day?
No, Waterloo will not have snacks on hand for your camper, so it is important to send your camper each day with a healthy snack that does not require refrigeration or heating and a bottle of water. Please make sure all items are labeled with your child’s name. If your child has an allergy, please be sure to notify the camp counselors so we can ensure your child’s safety.
What are the camp requirements?
To safely participate in the Summer Swim Safety Camp and Mermaid Camp, swimmers are required to evaluate to the White level or above. To safely participate in the Summer Water Polo Camp, swimmers are required to evaluate to Waterloo’s Intermediate level or above.
Who can pick up my child?
Only adults who are listed on your child’s camp registration form as Authorized Adults will be allowed to pick your child up. Adults must bring with them a valid photo ID.
What is the cancellation policy?

Changes or Cancellations for credit must be made 72 hours in advance. You can request a change or cancellation by emailing info@waterlooswimming.com.
