These camps are for kids grade 1st through 6th. Each child’s swim level must be evaluated prior to camp to determine activity group.

Waterloo’s Winter Camp mission is to help ensure water safety and awareness and cultivate a love for all physical activities in and around water.

Waterloo has two unique swim camps for Winter 2019! The Swim & Survival Safety Camp is geared toward novice level swimmers who want to learn more about water safety awareness, develop stronger swim skills, and discover more about water activities. We also have a unique opportunity to attend a Mermaid & Shark Camp.

Safety & Survival Winter Camp

Camp Days: 12/26; 12/30; 1/3
Camp Hours: 9a-12p (early drop-off / late pick-up not available)
Camp Requirements: 6yr+ by December 2019 and completed White level skills
Camp Cost: $40 per day

Camp Schedule:
9:00a-9:15a: Drop off and welcome
9:15a-10:00a: Structured activities
10:00a-10:15a: Change to suits
10:15a-10:45a: Safety Training Class
10:45a-11:00a: Snack (parent supplied)
11:00a-11:15a: Clean up/pick up prep
11:15a-12:00p: Distance swim then free swim until pick up

Sharks & Mermaid Winter Camp

Camp Days: 12/23; 12/27; 1/2
Camp Hours: 9a-12p (early drop-off / late pick-up not available)
Camp Requirements: 6yr+ by December 2019 and completed White level skills
Camp Cost: $40 per day

Waterloo Winter Camp Frequently Asked Questions

When should I drop off and pick up my child?
Camp begins at the designated start time each day. There is no early/late drop-off/pick-up. Camp hours are a 9a-12p. Any parent dropping off a swimmer before the start of camp or picking up after camp ends may be subject to dismissal from the camp without a refund.
Will snacks be provided during the day?
No, Waterloo will not have snacks on hand for your camper, so it is important to send your camper each day with a healthy snack that does not require refrigeration or heating and a bottle of water. Please make sure all items are labeled with your child’s name. If your child has an allergy, please be sure to notify the camp counselors so we can ensure your child’s safety.
What are the camp requirements?
To safely participate in the Summer Swim Safety Camp and Mermaid Camp, swimmers are required to have completed Waterloo’s Orange-level skills or have evaluated to the White level or above.” and “To safely participate in the Summer Swim Fitness Camp, swimmers are required to have graduated Waterloo’s Intermediate level, or have been evaluated and know all four competitive strokes.
Who can pick up my child?
Only adults who are listed on your child’s camp registration form as Authorized Adults will be allowed to pick your child up. Adults must bring with them a valid photo ID.
What is the cancellation policy?

Changes or Cancellations for credit must be made 72 hours in advance. You can request a change or cancellation by emailing info@waterlooswimming.com.
