For the last four years USA Swimming has hosted the #SwimBiz Conference, a national swim club marketing conference. This conference features insights from prominent brands on building great social media and marketing strategies for their teams. #SwimBiz is attended by team representatives and marketing specialists from across the country. As a part of the conference USA Swimming recognizes the best local and promotional efforts in the sport through their #SwimBiz Club Marketing Awards. These awards are given out based on team applications which are then judged by their awards committee. There are several different categories including Best Use of Social Media, The SwimToday Award and more. The big prize is the Marketing Club of the Year Award. This is the signature award of the conference and the year to reward marketing excellence.

Last month we decided to put our name in the hat for these awards to see where our marketing efforts stood in comparison to some of the larger, older teams out there. Earlier this week Gwyn and I headed to Colorado to attend the conference and share some knowledge with other club teams from across the country. Then, last night at the awards banquet we were blown away to find out that we won! Not one, but two awards. We took home the 2018 Best Use of Social Media award and the major Marketing Club of the Year 301+!

What a major compliment to receive these awards from a national organization like USA Swimming in front of other amazing swim clubs. It feels good to know that our efforts are taking us in the right direction and our strategies are working.
