This is Coach Eegan from Waterloo Swimming here in Austin, Texas and today I’m going to talk about the importance of stretching. There many forms of stretching such as dynamic and static, but today we’re going to talk about the overall benefits of stretching.
The benefits of stretching are increased performance, decrease of injury, increasing flexibility and also decrease in stress.
When I was in college some of my favorite exercises were the following: front arm swings, back arm swings, side to side and hammer swings.
These stretches helped me increase blood flow, lengthen out my muscles, help my flexibility and also got me ready for that hard practice. Again I’m Coach Eegan from Waterloo Swimming here in Austin, Texas. Thanks for tuning in and have a great practice
