Hi this is Coach Katie with Waterloo Swimming in Austin, Texas and I’m here to talk to you about chocolate milk as a recovery tool.
Chocolate milk is great to drink thirty minutes after your workout as it has a great nutritional ratio between protein and carbs.
It also helps refuel your muscles which is great for endurance and it also is additive to vitamins and minerals that you’re losing during your workout.
Before practice you can pack your chocolate milk in your bag or a parka so after it is ready to go and you’re ready to snack.
